Need a good stock tune. This truck came in with bad blowby and a couple dead cylinders. Did a complete overhaul and new injectors. Didn't replace turbo. Gettin a lot of black smoke on acceleration. Don't know what tune is in this truck so I wanna cover myself. It has decent power, doesn't feel like it has a tune or anything.

Did you look at TuneFileDepot, last I checked there were stock files for all supported 5.9 and 6.7 trucks.

Email me if you don't find it. I have a number of stock files not found elsewhere.

Ok, found a stock tune and loaded it. Its still a smoky mess. I cant find anything wrong with it. Should I make any programming changes to try to fix it? Even put original injectors back in. And it smoked the same. Boost seems kind of high to me. Swapped boost sensors also.

I wouldn't change the tune to fix it unless it's got oversized nozzles. If its got stock nozzles it should be at worst a light haze. Something else is wrong. How much boost are you seeing?
Maybe a boost leak?

It makes 30 psi without much effort. Smokes even at maybe 35% throttle with a light load. Checked for boost leaks with a smoke machine. No codes. Decent power. I dont know what to do.

I'm guessing you can't monitor EGTs?

Local shop by the name of Taylor diesel. Bought hundreds of injectors from them in the last few years.

Cylinder 2 has a -3.1 balance rate. All others are + or - 1.0 or less. should I swap out number 2?

Is number 2 the second cylinder from the front or second cylinder in the firing order? I swapped second one from the front with one of the originals and number 5 balance rate changed. Number 2 stayed the same. I seem to remember that when running an injector shutoff test with my Verus, it numbers the cylinders by their place in the firing order instead of engine positon. So im going back in now.

Send me the tunefile, ill whip up a test tune to try out and see if it's tuning related or parts.
