B4338 Engine Speed Compensation and B4339 Engine Speed Compensation Multiplier have me a little confused. The description for B4338 is...

"Extra airflow required to compensate for the load placed on the engine by external loads such as:
- Initial startup
- Alternator
- Heater

This value is multiplied by {B4339} "Engine Speed Compensation Multiplier" and the product is added to the desired idle airflow."

The engine speed compensation is extra airflow versus RPM and "In Gear" or " Park/Neutral". The RPM however only goes up to 400 RPM. Does this mean that if the engine is idling at lets say 600 RPM, no extra airflow is being added, or will it add the 400 RPM extra airflow for all engine speeds above 400 RPM?

My stock Silverado tune calls for extra airflow in gear and P/N (different values for each, increasing with RPM).
An auto f-body tune calls for extra airflow in P/N only.
And a manual f-body tune calls for no extra airflow.

Thanks!
