Guys, first time here and cannot get started cos I'm obviously unable to identify which config file corresponds to my vehicle. Its a '11 Chevy 4.8 Pickup. I'm trying to do the Logging and retrieval after the initial setup. Please help.

Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by "which config file corresponds to my vehicle". The tuner who sold you the AutoCal should have sent you the correct files to tune your vehicle.

If you want to figure out which controller you have in your vehicle do this:
Connect up your PC, AutoCal and the vehicle, run the V8 software, select the Tune option and click on the [Auto Detect] button. You can then use that controller info to set up your BBx settings.

Actually, its probably easier to just use the BBx [Auto Detect] options.

I haven't had my coffee so I thought that he was talking about a Custom Operating System when he said "cos"... :online2long:

Paul (Blacky), where do you get that he has an AutoCal?

I don't understand what he means by config. file either. Your truck is an E38 and T42 / T43 if that helps any.

He got it because I posted in the Autocal forum.
Here are the instructions from blackBear Performance (who haven't responded to my emails to them)

Oh ok. Well it's definitely an E38 + whatever tranny / options. What are the choices? I wonder if 4.8 were available with both 4 and 6 speed tranny that year.
