I was putsing around last night comparing the 100hp tune that someone posted to my 03 stock file is the 03 file diffrent from the other files because i noticed that alot of my paramaters were higher than his 02 tune. and also do we want more or less pilot injection and those any one have a good definition on what it exactly does pilot inj control i have an idea but am not sure.

Pilot injection is the pre main injection pulse of fuel that helps get rid of the diesel clatter. You can control the pulse width (amount of fuel that gets injected) and the timing. The pilot timing is the number of crank angle degrees before the main injection pulse starts that the pilot pulse will start at. Clear as mud?
I don't have the info on the difference between the '02 program and the '03 program. Sorry.

Thanks for the tech info. Just where can i find more info as good as that? And also, in theory the less pilot inj tinning we put in before the main inj the more ping we produce also the pilot inj shouldnt be reduced or advanced much from stock because it doesnt produce much power change

Also just pulled 100hp tune out of truck does run right it is a little off on the power range it feels like it hesitates to much. didnt like the way it ran at all. and my truck has now an extended crank problem so need to play with the tune some more.
