My tuning software can't communicate with my FlashScan and displays the following message:

"EFILive cannot communicate with FlashScan

Disconnect the scan tool if it is connected.
Check all cables and connections, then try again."

The scan software communicates with the FlashScan okay. I tried the USB driver update listed at top of forum page and no change. This is a brand new concern since I upgraded to commercial license. I don't believe I have attempted to use my FlashScan since upgrade. I have the latest version of EFILive loaded on two different computers and neither computer will communicate from tuning software but both computers will communicate from scan software. It makes no difference whether FlashScan is connected to vehicle or not. Green USB LED on FlashScan lights up when communicating from scan software but does not illuminate when attempting to communicate from tune software.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

(Apologies if you've tried all of this already).

Have you tried starting the Tuning Tool software without the Scan Tool software running?

If the Scan Tool software is running, make sure you have disconnected the Scan Tool software from the FlashScan interface by clicking on the red "disconnect" toolbar icon at the top left of the Scan Tool software window.

As a last resort, close down the Scan Tool software before attempting to communicate with FlashScan from the Tuning Tool software.

Also, for best results, make sure you have the FlashScan cable connected to the PC before you start the Tuning Tool software.

It will not have anything to do with your recent Commercial upgrade.

Regards
Paul

Duh! Rookies!! I guess I just located the "start tuning tool button from within scan software" and didn't know how to properly use it.

Thank you Paul for setting me straight. This forum and EFILive are great!
