Flashing OS into a brand new 2006 LBZ ECM with EFILive

Hi new to the whole efilive thing and was wondering if it is possible to flash in the correct LBZ OS into a brand new 06 LBZ ecm instead of using a tech2 with efilive? sorry if this sounds silly but this is my first time using efilive after getting it off a friend who no longer needed it

Works just fine. Just make sure and do a full flash when you do it. When your done there is a few other steps that you need to do since it is a new ECM. You need to go in and copy the injector flow data from the GPCM to the ECM, and you may have to reset the security system afterwards.

Yes, you will have to license the new ECM to your cable as the VIN licenses are licensed to the serial number in the ECM and not the VIN number. As far as flashing it, get your tune and full flash it in. You may have to go in and do a security learn as some ECM's are set to learn the BCM and others are not. And it is a good idea to transfer the injector flow data fro mthe glow plug controller to the new ECM so features like your remote start can work if you have it.
