View Full Version : Idle closed loop adjustments

With closed loop disabled via the tune parameters (i.e. via engine coolant temp for closed loop maxed out), is there a part of the management that still reads the 02 inputs for idle fuel adjustment?
After wanted to 'adjust' the fuelling a little to 'improve' my emissions for vehicle test, i've found no matter what I do with the airflow/injector tables, fuelling adjusts as wanted straight after fire up, then mysteriously settles back to stoich.
Next step is to physically disconnect the 02's. Just wanted to hear if this is a known phenomenon?

Thanks

Could you post a log and tune ?
Did you reset the trims after disabling CL ?

When you say it settles back to stoich, do the NB O2's keep switching rich / lean? If so, then I'd say you haven't disabled them correctly.

You have disabled long trims, short trims, and closed loop...?

Argh, sorry. Been out in the cold coming back into the tune after nearly a year. Missed flipping the long term trims off.
Although aren't these reset after a cal flash? Anyway thanks for the sanity check.
