View Full Version : Commanding leaner EQR dependent on CLT

Hey guys, am running COS 04140003 on a 2005 VZ Holden LS1 (with ETC) and having a bit of a brain melt down. Currently my Commanded Fuel vs RPM is set so I am in OLSD and have a "lean cruise" area.

What i'm finding though is that while the car is coming up to temp, this lean area makes the car a little "snatchy". I tested by setting the area back to 1.005 EQR and it fixes the problem when cold so when the car is cold it just needs a little more fuel. When the car is up to temp, this lean area has no impact with drive ability and gives me nice cruise fueling - instant readout shows when cruising between ~7-9L/100 with a mild cam & ported heads, dynoed 405rwhp yada yada...

Now looking at A0008, it's just a simple multiplier table which does help, because it makes everywhere else rich in the table.

Sooooooo, after having tuned an E40 6.0L not so long ago and an E38 VE SS (with HP Tuners though :( - ), I noticed that you can set "Lean Limits" vs CLT. In the E40 the pid is B0149, on the E38's, in HP Tuners I can see it as EQ Ratio Min, not sure what it is in EFI Live. Is there anything like this in the LS1 COS's by chance or has anyone worked out a way where doing something like this is possible WITHOUT having to turn on CLSD and using Lean Cruise (B3634-B3646).

B0149 in the E40 that I successfully got to lean out..

If there was a way to get B3646 to work without the rest of the Lean Cruise stuff, that would be the closest thing to mirroring the E40 behaviour I can see but I want to stay in OLSD.

Anyone got any ideas they can throw at me by chance?

Cheers
Kris
