Use the scan tool to read the codes (DTC's), and then look them up in a service manual, or online, where it gives you troubleshooting procedures (e.g. LS2.com and GearChatter.com list DTC's).

When you've fixed the problem, the DTC's will get cleared by driving, or you can use the scan tool to clear them.

If the DTC's are due to devices being removed (e.g. EGR, AIR, rear O2, cats...), then you can use the tune tool to disable the reporting of DTC's related to these devices, and to disable the PCM from operating these devices (e.g. creative settings for enable temps, enable mph, etc...).

I didn't have any codes at first,But now I have P1571 "traction control torque request circuit" status PH. And C1281 came up ,"STEERING SENSOR UNCORRELATED MALF" STATUS HC.I didn't think codes made "service engine soon" come up.I thought you would get a check engine light.I did remove the air pump,But no codes for that.
