On my old XP laptop I have not been able to gain access to the search button after the 2.07.39 firmware update.

Does it show up if you make that window wider...?

It is not letting me make the window any wider. I assume it is a graphics issue. You probably developed the update on some HD 31" monitor.

On my old XP laptop I have not been able to gain access to the search button after the 2.07.39 firmware update.

To gain more window space, you can make the tabs smaller by selecting: View->Hide Tab Descriptions, in the main window.
It might be enough to allow you to access that search box.

I will also look at making that search box available on smaller window sizes.
