Needed a second wideband controller so I bought a GenIII FJO. I have been using a GenII FJO with serial connection for several years and I have been well pleased with it. Got it today and started looking it over. It does not have the serial style cable but a device that converts to a USB plug. How do I take this to the V2? Also looks like it powers up thru the USB. Does that sound possible? Settings in the V2 does show a selection for the GenIII. Anybody got one of these working?

You really do need the serial comms connection...
and a separate power/ground connection.

Do you have any wiring diagram of its interface (or can you reverse engineer the USB interface, it probably is some serial-to-USB converter)...?

Thanks for taking a look at this Joecar. FJO don't even mention the interface being supplied with the wideband. Looking at the wiring diagram the white/red wire is the only wire that moves data when connected to the PC. To be "serial" that will work with the V2 doesn't it need to be 2 data wires and ground?
Being that FJO has sold out to Holley I don't believe I'm going to get much help from them on this.

2-wires+ground: bi-directional serial comms.
1-wire+ground: single direction serial comms <-- this is sufficient.

But which one is the V2 going to want?

For example:
- AEM UEGO only has a single wire (transmit) from which V2 reads lambda;
- LC-1 has two wires (transmit/receive) from which the V2 reads lambda (transmit) and writes commands (receive).
It all depends on the wideband.
