Howdy folks, long time no see. Had a question, will EFI Live talk to one of the standalone computers that GM sells to operate an LSx engine in a pre-computer vehicle? Got a plan bubbling away, and if EFI Live will talk to one of these computers it'll make things a lot easier. Thanks.

If you mean a GMPP ECM, then yes it will. It's an E67 with a custom GMPP OS, EFILive has mapped that OS. Read it out and edit it like you would a normal E67 ECM.

Excellent! Next question, can such a PCM work on a block that has displacement on demand, variable valves or direct injection?

If you want to do that, buy a regular E67 and flash an OS in with Tis2Web that has the features you want. With EFILive we can turn everything off and run the ECM (and TCM) completely standalone, the only thing the GMPP E67 can do vs a production one is run a 24x reluctor (I believe, havent verified).

But if you use the GMPP E67, I know it cant do DI, and Id put money on no VVT or DOD as it's designed to be used with 6.2 LS3 and 7L LS7s.
