problem opening tuning file

i have a 2001 corvette ls1b pcm that i used the v8 scan software to read the factory file, i went to open it and it required efilive 7.5 to edit/modify it, when i tryed to save the file it wont let me in 7.5, the file name ends in .ctz for some reason, am i missing something here? sorry first time user of efilive, i thought the customer would have already finished all the connectivity before bringing it over for tuning. just spent near 2 hours of reading and updating everything.

Did you enter your V2 Licensing info in V7? V7 does not automatically recognize it like V8 does.

Yes, the problem was customer had older version of the v7 software, it wouldn't recognize the .ctz file downloaded/read by the v8 software. Got it opened up.
