I noticed that the tune tool is not marking the selected area in E78 and E39 ECMs
So I want to know if there is a procedure to make this hapen as in LS1B and E38

Thanks in adance

You need to go in and edit the cal_link.txt file, open the file up (save another copy) and add the tables you want to see. I did this for the P10 years ago, just have to copy the text/file over every time you install an update.

Why it was supported for LS1B, E38, E67 but not the newer ECMs like E78 and E39 ?

Probably the cal_link.txt file still has to be updated by Paul.

[ and of course, in the tunetool properties, under the Scanner tab you have to checkmark "Highlight Scantool Selection", and scantool/tunetool must agree on units ]

If you know what the link pids are, you can edit them in for the relevant tables (multiple link pids are comma separated).

Post your tune file, I'll send you a cal_link file for the HO table.

Here is it

The cal_link file is actually really easy to update. It is all plain text and you can pretty much use any section of it as a reference to build the links for the tables you want. I edited mine for the CM2100 (CMC) ECMs. It took a little time but that was all.

Edit:

Look in your cal_link.txt file, search for E38.APCYL_DMA, it is already there (under the [E38] section)...

please ignore my edited cal_link.txt since I edited the wrong section.

For e38 I'm using E38.APCYL_DMA
But for E78 I don't know what will work for the scanner because there is nothing written in the X axis of the HO table

Are you logging E78.APCYL_DMA...?

Try the attached calc_link.txt file (I copied the [E38] section, renamed it to [E78], renamed the pids to E78.APCYL_DMA):

Open cal_link.txt with Windows Notepad, search for [E78] say, then search for B5101 say, then look at ROW and COL, whichever one matches the pid you want to link (e.g. APCYL grams) add the exact full pid name (e.g. E78.APCYL_DMA) with a comma separating it from the pid name already there, save file, restart tunetool.

Updating the links is currently a low priority for Ross.

Given the task can be user managed in txt file format, if someone is interested in taking on the task for each controller, we could discuss some form of compensation (in the form of licenses).

If you are interested, please email me for details. Cindy at EFILive dot com.

Cheers
Cindy
