I am messing with a 2009 GMC Denali and the E38 service number is 12630500. The compatibility PDF shows the 12630501 service number but not the 500 number. Does anyone know if the 12630500 ECM is compatible with the other O/S-ECMs listed in the 2009 column?

Thank You,
Jeff

Jeff, the list is not based on ECM Service numbers, rather the OS number the ECM has in it.

WOW, I was way off base. Thank You for the clarification.

Here is some info a friend gave me. It is the correct way to read and understand the label on the ECM. Maybe I am the only guy who didn't know this---Maybe not. Hopefully this will benefit someone else.

Couple of things .... 12630500 is the Hardware Number, not the Service Number.

If you look at the label from the top, from left to right ... it will probably begin with E38 (not all do) followed by 12630500 (Hardware Number), followed by the BCC (probably YRUJ).

Under this will be the bar code. Under this will be the ECM Serial Number (with the BCC inserted after the first two digits).

Under this will be the Service Number - 12625455 (for a 2009 E38).

If it is a 2009 Escalade, the ECM OS is probably 12630501 (coincidentally similar to the Hardware Number).
