If you have a V2, you should use serial comms...

Hi, welcome to the forum. I would recomend you use the serial port (Looks like a telephone jack) on the v2, not the analog connectors. You might need a different cable for the LM2

The LM-2 does not have that cable option that i can see at least.

Does Innovate have the serial cable...?

No, they have a 4 pin extension cable but not the serial. They also say they have the TAQ cable which is not true considering that his site is down and he hasnt been on the forum since Dec. 2012

I also have another issue, I have my V2 and it tells me i have a license available but its marked in all 0's, I sent efi an email on this but there customer response time is lacking. any idea's??

If the license is available it will show as "Available".
If it shows "N/A" then the license has not been purchased yet.
If it shows anything else, including all zeros, then it has been used to license a controller with a serial number that ends in those 9 letters/digits.

It shows available but is not. It is 0000000X0 which is not a license from my understanding. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't understand, either it shows "Available" or it shows 0000000X0, it can't show both.

Unless you mean it shows "0000000X0 Available", in which case you need to look at the column headers. The first column is only for engine controllers, the second column is only for transmission controllers.

As for 0000000X0 not being a license, its possible that the controller that was licensed had a serial number that was corrupt and contained non-printable characters. EFILive converts all non-printable characters to 0's prior to using/displaying the serial number.
Old versions of EFILive would allow such corrupt serials to be licensed. The newer versions of EFILive do not. It is highly likely that the FlashScan was used to licesd a controller that had a corrupt serial number a long time ago using an old version of the software.

Exactly. Under engine that's what it shows. Available and that number.

What's my options?!

Blackly, I'm not sure if you are efi live but from what I'm feeling and seeing your becoming very defensive on it. I hope your not taking it personal that I have an issue with customer care of efi live. It's going on two days since my request and still nothing.

I feel I should expect nothing and hope that I'm lucky to get an answer.

Thanks no matter for the answers

Yes, I work at EFILive, no I'm not defensive :) I am just confused as to what you are saying that's all.

P.S. I'm not sure why you didn't get a reply from EFILive support, where/how did you contact support?
Via our contact us web page?
Via support@efilive.com?
Via our helpdesk ticketing system?
Some other way?

Its a good point that I should not just assume people know I work at EFILive. I've changed my profile to show as "EFILive Developer" instead of "I'm just a programmer".

It's going on two days since my request and still nothing.

I received your screen shot and replied (via email), explaining how the licenses on your device are allocated. Do you still need help with this situation?

P.S. Your original request just arrived in my inbox today. It had been sent to sales@efilive.com, it took a while for it to filter back to me since it was not really sales related.
When you need product support, you should send your queries to support@efilive.com or open a support ticket in our online help desk.
