Random no starts

Been having an issue where I would get a randon no start. Ill go out to my truck, try an start it, it will fire up to about 1k rpm then die. Ill try it again and it will go to about 500 rpm then die, the third time I try it will just sputter. Then it repeats this cycle. Ill go back to it an hour or so later and it starts right up. it runs great onces its started other than an exhaust leak. Could it be tune related?

Have you tried logging it each time to compare what's happening? Maybe look at injection pulse width - might identify if it's the PCM causing the issue, or something mechanical?

Do what Darcy said... and also check for spark and injector pulse (i.e. oscilloscope or noid light or spark presence tester), rail pressure, battery voltage.
