I can read the PCM fine on the bench harness, & the vats is/was disabled in the tune. The car (holden vy clubsport) fires then dies as like it needs a VATS relearn done. However
when connected in the car efi live can't detect the pcm, can't read/write or change vin etc......

Suspected the BCM maybe faulty but would that cause the pcm comms to be affected?

Start pullin fuses and try to flash until you pick the right fuse. Then it will probably detect and flash your ecm.

On the LS1 Holdens there was no other modules on the PCM's comms bus so it's pretty clean (unlike many US vehicles). I doubt the PCM is faulty, I suspect it's be some silly alarm system that cuts power to the PCM.

Well the car starts then stalls, and can't connect to PCM, I suspect its the BCM module.
