View Full Version : TPS VE for idle fueling ?

Is it possible to use TPS VE solely for idle fueling? I am having difficulty leaning out my idle cells in the main VE and wanted to try to tune fueling for idle in A0007. Must I populate the entire table for this or just the cells I plan on using within in the set parameters? Best lean idle is at 12.3 on e85.

All PE is set to lambda 1.01 through 3600/ 0.86 through 8000
B3647 set to 1.01
No IAC
No NB 02's ( LC1's on both banks)
Idle spark 17-26*
Cam 250/260 .671"
Idle VE at 95kpa

Thanks in advance for any input.

You only need to populate TPS VE table only up to the enable threshold.

BTW: regarding your PE: what happens if you stomp the throttle pedal below 3600 rpm (your engine is going to be too lean).

Hey Joe,

PE will be tuned before I get into the throttle, just trying to get it to idle so I could drive onto the dyno. LOL Problem was the ground on the map weatherpak pin was bent. Now at 70-75kpa at idle. I was just lucky as the connector was the first thing I went to look at.

I would like to run solely on A0007 but the entire map table has to be redone. A lot has been modified to the motor and most of the table is fat by 30-40%. So for now I was just trying to use TPSVE for the idle cells. Big cam'd race motors don't like to idle at 600 rpm. LOL
