I am new to EFI Live and downloaded it the other day. After downloading and upgrading to the newest version, including bootblock and firmware, I have errors including, Can't get semaphore for control of EFILive_Hapi, Request was ignored - i.e. reply cmd<>send cmd, and No data received. I have uninstalled 4 times (not kiddin) and reinstalled and retried but the same errors keep happening. Another problem is my usb connection, the frames, being transmitted and received have only matched up twice. And even after they did, I got on scan and tune and the error, (No Device Detected) appears. Plz help. I am trying to get efi live installed on my 2011 2500hd chevrolet 6.0. Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You might post in the flashscan V2 section of the forum for better help with this. Also be sure to read the thread for the latest release. It mentions similar bugs and might have fixes

If/when you get a reply cmd<>send cmd error, could you please open the EFILive Control Panel (i.e. click on the FlashScan icon in the system tray, which is near the clock display in the Windows task bar) and select the [F8: Trace] tab page. Then click on [Save trace] and send the trace file to me at paul@efilive.com

The semaphore error can be caused by a previous instance of the EFILive_HAPI.exe program (i.e. the EFILive Control Panel) still hanging around and not releasing the semaphore. In that case, make sure ALL EFILive programs are closed, start Windows Task Manager (right click on the task bar and select "Start Task Manager"). Select the [Processes] tab page, find an y processes that start with EFILive_ and select them and click [End Process] to terminate them.

Paul
