I have a 2006 Dodge ram cummins and i replaced the stock fan clutch with the flex-a-lite electric fan set up. now the truck sets a soft code with or without the stock fan connected. could i diable the monitor for the fan clutch with tthe efi-live software?

You can keep the ECM from setting fan clutch codes, I have a customer with a pull truck running electric fans with no codes.

Yep my truck has e-fans, no cel but it will ways have a 480/483 soft code.

Same here les, even when disabled the soft code always comes up. No biggie.

Any ideas on how to accomplish this? my truck illuminates the CEL and is unable to pass SMOG here in california.

You have to disable the dtc in efi. It'll still have a soft code but won't illuminate a MIL.

It'll pass smog with soft codes
