Vats won't relearn

Hi,
I have replaced the PCM and have tried to relink the vats in a HSV VY Clubsport.
I have changed the vin with scan tool and tried to relink the vats....

I makes 4 attempts to relink looking at the log. Then says auto-link bcm is enabled and
recycling the ignition to relink. If it fails you may have to repeat the process. Which I have done numerous times without success....

Anyone seen this or know why this I happening?

You may have to cycle the ignition key at 10 minute intervals for at least 3 times

(i.e. key ON, after 10 minutes security lamp starts flashing, key OFF... repeat (total 3 times);

(at the very first key ON, you have to actually bump the starter (without letting it start))


but I'm not sure how it Holden works on Holden.

OK i got the car to start without ever seeing the message VATS re-link successful... I just assumed it worked.... However it ran it very very poorly & I'm confident that it wasn't tune related....... Not sure what was happening but it as though it was in a limp mode or something... I did perform a CASE relearn....
