View Full Version : Cant log with v2 ?works ok with passthrough ??

HI guys
my friend is having trouble logging with v2 standalone ? it logs ok with pass through to his laptop
any help would be appreciated
things we have tried

have updated all the firmware / boot block several times in the last month

formatted the memory and the SD card and reprogramed with all dater in BBX

Do you have BBx configured for the ECMs you want to log...?

What ECM is this failing on...?

Post a screenshot of the BBX page of the V8 S&T software.

as far as i know it just doesent log ??
sorrey he dident give any more deatails :doh:
ill have to get him to fill me in on the deatails of weather it displays a msg or a failuer notice
im going to try and log it ( E38 ) with my v2 on the week end

It just says creating log file
And stays like that wont do any more and I have to unplug it


Can't read tunes either says it unlocking and same thing just stays like that even when the fault codes " contact dealer " are flashing on dash

Make sure the PIDs he's using are compatible with his OS/ECM, if they aren't it will error out and say something like it cannot log.

Then Id format the config and filesystem, and start over. Ive had a few issues where I thought everything was setup but after starting from scratch it worked just fine. Download the latest beta stuff from the forum, wipe the config and filesystem, then use the BBX settings window to copy the right stuff over.
