There's a new book available to help plan a Gen III LS-Series PCM conversion. I worked with CarTech to make this information available.

The book covers:

the use of the Gen III LS-Series PCMs for LS-Series, SBC, LT1, BBC, and 4.3L V6 engines
the different ignition systems (with high and low resolution crank/cam signals)
sensor compatibility
PCM signal outputs
firing order concerns
cable and electronic throttle options
electric fan operation
transmissions
air conditioning operation
cruise control (for both cable and electronic throttle systems)
overview of OBD-II


The final chapters demonstrate:

24x SBC conversion with a 1998 Twin Turbo GMC Truck
24x LT1 step-by-step conversion with a 1997 Trans Am
3x 4.3L Syclone/Typhoon Engine Conversion

Who is Airdeano? How has Airdeano used the 411 PCM? I know there are many guys who have shown strong interest in this PCM through the years.

Here's a stroll through memory lane. I posted a thread about this topic back in 2006 and demonstrated a TPI engine running with a 12200411 PCM with single coil and distributor (a 4x crank application). So much has happened since then and so many have chosen the 12200411 PCM since that time.

I also agree, this PCM will be desiureable for many years to come.

Airdeano was a calibrator that I conversed with many moons ago. We discussed the Vortec 350 used in the 01-03 Vans that was controlled va the 411 PCM, we went over. He was the person that agreed and said this would work.

I remember that thread over at TGO, and your 1st demo on the TPI engine. Scuzz frequents the PPE truck forums.

You're right lots has happened since that time.
