Hello,
my maf is very erratic in the higher rpm load areas,
is this normal when placing maf in front of TB?
is there anything i can do to over come this issue? apart from running straight SD?

Post a pic of your MAF/intake plumbing.

I have tried rotating the maf it is still doing it.

I feel its not bad as i have the Ben factor with in .01 in most places.
the ecu averages it out and i am getting close with it.

The signal is not too bad, but the position of the MAF will not be helping.

The closer to the TB, the more pulsing from the cylinders will be seen. The other problem is that you don't have any tuning chambers in the intake to smooth the individual pulses out. To give an example, when the Holden VZ 6Lt came out, the stock intake was compared to the then favorite "GTS MAF pipe" (which was a plain 90mm pipe with a 90 curve). The stock vZ intake was found to have a 5KW advantage in the top end.

If you are going to stick with the intake you have, I'd just go SD and be done with the MAF.

Simon.
