I have a 06 Equniox LT with the 3.4L V6. Its been having a hard start issue. The dealership cant seem to find anything wrong with it. Now Im getting a service engine soon light when I start it up. will stay on for the first few miles then will turn off. Could I hook my computer up to the Equniox and scan for the codes? Maybe even tune it while Im there? What PCM is used? Thanks for any help

Pretty sure that will be a 'P05' PCM, should be able to get codes and scan no problem.

I worked beside the guy that "flashed" the ECM on those vehilcles at the CAMI plant up here in Ingersol Ontario. They all did a dyno test at the end of teh assembly line to verify shiftpoints etc. Then they went through a cell where wind and water blown at the vehicle looking for leaks.

Can I use my efi live V1 v7.5 to read it? Or is it only with the V2

P05 was for a 4 cyl. I have the 3400 V6. The PCM has 3 connectors on the top of it. I can post a pic to show it if needed

Look underneath, there's a little 'P05' stamped on the bottom
