Do I not have the forced upshift disabled in this tune? If you look at frame 2413 in the attached log file it appears (and felt/sounded like) it upshifted anyway.

Also, is the description for D0914 correct?

Does anyone else see TCC lockup in 3rd? My stock table has the Apply speeds higher than the 3-4 shift speeds, but when in manual 3 the TCC still does not lock.

The 4L80 calibrations are a little different than the 4L60. If the shifter of a 4L80 equipped vehicle is placed in the lowest detent (1st gear) - it will still upshift to 2nd gear unless the TPS remains above 60%.

There is a table that we don't yet have access to. Some tuning softwares have figured this out for the 512Kb PCMs - don't think any have found the table in the 1 Mb PCMs yet.

So D0913 has no effect on a 4L80E calibration and tuning with EFILive will blow up an 80E with a D1 transbrake?

Neither EFILive nor HPT has the table you need (yet) for a 1 Mb PCM. If you were using a 512 Kb PCM - you could access the table you need with HPT. As it is - below 60% TPS your 4L80 will upshift to 2nd at around 23 MPH. This unique to the 4L80. It is believed that the 4L60 has another hidden table that overrides this feature - 4L60s will stay in 1st gear (4L80s will not).

What about this new table in HPT.... Manual Hold 1st (http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?43722-Tables-to-make-manual-low-work-right-on-a-4L80e-%28GenIII%29-pcm&p=328557#post328557)

A Transgo shift kit allows foir held gears to ant rpm when placed in that gear via the shifter, then once the shifter is placed in D or OD the trans will shift as normal.

When cruising around "racking the pipes" in teh city, it sucked when the stupid trans would upshift intop 2nd, and with teh 4lpos60e that equalks BLAH.

That's not the table that is needed. HPT calls the one you need "D1 Urban" - as I stated in post #2 - so far it seems only 512Kb PCMs have been mapped out (unless HPT has added these - haven't checked in awhile).

Not anymore .....

The original 4L80E-HD2 kits did - but typically caused DTCs to set when the trans was "mechanically" held in 1st gear.

The current 4L80E-HD2 kits do not hold 1st gear. TransGo recommends having this functionality enabled via the tune ... which brings us full circle to the missing table for the 1Mb PCMs.

Yes, I was hoping it was the D1 table because it was not there the last time I looked at this tune, and still is not present for some 80E OS's. I do see the D1 Urban table now in older OS's.

Probably would not have been compatible with the T-Brake anyway.

Sorry I should have stated I was referencing a 4l60e.

Are the issues with the 4l80e you speak of because of the extra turbine sensor the 80e has?
