V8 Scan tool Help.....

I have been using 7.5 and did a firmware upgrade now I can't use the scan tool in V7.5. I get V8 to find the car computer, but that is it I cannot seem to get it to connect. How can I log now? Help please....

V8 Scan tool is not ready yet, just the charts page is functional. You need to use V7.5 Scan tool for logging. Why cant you use the V7.5 Scan too? Did you make sure to update both V7.5 and V8 to the latest version?

I'm getting the same problem. I have uninstalled V8, and tried to use V7 but gives me an error saying incompatible interface, then tells me to install V8.

first, what are your current V2 firmware/bootblock versions...?

Which parts of this do I need to do? I already have calibrations I want to flash to the ECM/TCM.

UPDATE: I went and tried to flash a calibration to the ECM and it worked this time. The only thing I did that I think fixed it was reloading the software. Odd...

These parts:


- start V8 Scan & Tune (S&T),
- goto F5: BBX,
- save to file Options.txt,
- click Program All (accessed via downarrow next to Program button), wait for it to finish,

Following "55" I too re-installed the software, the scan tool now works, I still need to look at the tutorial I guess? I was able to read, edit and flash. I did not understand a new warning box something about security, but I went past it and everything seems ok....Did I lock myself out?...lol
