Hello everyone,

I have been trying to adjust my VE so my idle is decent. Well I've got it okay, but there are times the car just dies all of a sudden.

Any thoughts. Stock motor, turbo, 60 lbs injectors and two pumps in the tank.

Thanks,
Glenn

Try logging things like the IAC Steps, and Throttle Cracker & Follower airflow.

Is the a particular scenario where it does, like at idle after blipping the throttle for example?

Hey thanks for the reply.

Yeah, it does it after a throttle blip.

It also has a slight hesitation or lean spot when I blip the throttle.

I will look for those pids and log them.

What should I look for?

Thanks again,
Glenn

Log 'GM.IAC_TC_DMA' and GM.IAC_TF_DMA' from the Idle section and 'GM.IAC' from the Air section.

For the IAC steps you are basically wanting to see the value. I suspect that when your car is dying that your IAC steps might actually be hitting 0. You should look to have these hit a min of like 20 (to allow room for IAC motor to move still).

For the cracker and follower (mainly follower) airflows you are really looking at the rate at which they decay. If they decay too fast that can cause the car to die also.

Try logging both of those to start with and then we can look at sorting each out in turn.
