not licensed, so it says !!!!

Hey guys,
Im in a bit of a pickle, ive been working on a tune for a few days now, and just gone to flash it into the car and its telling me im not licensed too it !!!
This is a car i tuned months ago !!!
it has been to another tuner since then and now, I think that guy used HPtuners !!
why would i be unlicensed now ?
Ill buy a new license if i have too, but as you can guess i dont want too have to do that !!!
the guy needs the car ready for racing next week !!
So im needing help ASAP !!!!!

Same vehicle, but is it definitely the same PCM since it went off to another tuner?

that I'm not sure of. I don't know how to tell if it's the same PCM !!
I know it's a possibility that changed it for another one.
I know he has a year/model license with HP
so he might have done that to pee me off.

Post a screenshot of your licenses, and a screenshot showing the PCM's serial number.

I'm using
V 7.5.7 (build 211)
V 8.2.1 (build 203)

it's the same version that I tuned the car with and all, I have not changed anything.
but I'm guessing the other tuner swapped the PCM to pee me off,
I know he had a 1mb PCM there.!!

Did you license & flash it between taking screen captures?
Since, 04140003 is the EFILive 1Mb COS for 2004 Models.

yes it have to get this car done so I got 2 more licenses yesterday and re-licensed the PCM into the 14th license.!!!
so yes I re-flashed my COS tune back in last night.

Pete,

We can determine if the PCM was swapped pretty easy.
You will need to send to [email protected] a tune file from when you first tuned it (eg, before it went to the other shop) and now re-read the current PCM and send that file as well.
Given you are using the COS, the shop with HPT would not have been able to flash over that even if you left it unlocked, so they may have swapped another PCM in.

ok thanks I will do that on the weekend and get it sent off.
so yes I originally got a PCM from the wreckers and tuned it with the COS 03 and locked it.
then the car went to a new shop I was nice enough to unlock it and put a standard tune with heaps of crap setting for him to work with.
so he put new heads and intake on the car and re-tuned it.
but it runs really bad.
I I have it back now to fix it up.
so yes I have my tune from before hand,
the tune out of the PCM from when I got it back.
I have since used my new license to put my tune back in.

Actually if you have both files, load them in V8 and it will show you the PCM serial numbers, if they are different then they must have swapped out the PCM for some reason.

ok so I had a look at both tunes in V8,
I'm guessing that the PCM defiantly has been swopped over.!!!
so I'll call the owner of the car and let him know.
I'll wait until someone confirms this but I'm sure it's true.

I did not think he would have done that to me considering I drove an hour to unlock it for him
!!!
but the owner told him to make sure he did not lock it because he still wants me to be able to tune it forever after.
in saying that, why in hell he took it to someone else has got me bugged if he still wants me to do it.!!!
anyhow they can sort that out, I'll just tune it for now so his happy.
