So heres the deal. I purchased a. v2 because I got tired of driving 110 miles every time I wanted/needed to have my 01 LB7 scanned. I am in way over my head I guess or the manual sucks because i can' find the answers i am looking for. So I will turn to you guys and see if you can help.

1) Do I have to have a laptop to use this tool?

can some one steer me to step by step instructions to:

A) check ALL of the codes
B) do a balance check on the injectors.

One of the things i am trying to do is see if replacing the ECM cleared the internal fault code that did not show up on my basic OBD 2 scanner but did on the dealers tool.

HELP! and thanks.

If you want to scan...

if your V2 is already programmed, then connect it to vehicle and follow the V2 LCD menu (goto Diagnostics and follow the menus down for various scan data including DTC's).

Otherwise if it is not already programmed, then see this: Setting-up-a-FSV2-from-scratch (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?20699-Setting-up-a-FSV2-from-scratch)

Thanks. What about the balance test? Do I have to use a PC or laptop for that?
