Hi,

I am unable to connect to the scanner. I can read files, edit, & burn the files back into the PCM fine - just unable to connect to the scanner to do logging/dct's ect.

When I hit the "connect" button in EFILive scan V7.5 I am getting the error...

Error
The FlashScan/AutoCal interface is not compatible with this version of EFILive software.
Please install the latest version 8 EFILive software, then use the "EFILive control panel" program to update the firmware.

I have a Flashscan V2 running Bootblock 2.07.06 / Firmware 2.07.51
V7 5.7 (build 245) Calibration 713
V8.2.2 Build 234

Cheers

Looks like your firmware needs update. The latest firmware is V2.07.52

Can you post a screenshot of the V7 scantool doing that...

Which PCM are you trying to connect to...?

In the scantool go Edit->Properties->Connection and in the cable type select V2.5.

V2 or V2.5 makes no difference. Comes up with the same error.

Hi, I am having the exact same issue. Is there a way to load an older version of firmware until this is sorted? Cheers

Use the USB Manager (comes with V8) to uninstall the newer USB driver, and install the older driver.

Ok cheers, I got it working by just installing the version of V7 from the efilive download page. It must be a slightly newer version than I had

Tried all the USB drivers listed with no luck. Could it be something like that even though I can read files, edit, and write all ok?

I am thinking about trying a different laptop today..

Tried another laptop. Installed V7.5, then V8. Can still read, edit, burn files ok. Just cant connect to the scanner. Tried all the different usb drivers also.

If you can read/flash files, then you should be able to connect with scantool...

post screenshots showing how you're trying to do this

( did you click the green Connect button in the upper left of the V7 scantool...? )

Did you install latest V7 and V8 software...?
Did you flash latest firmware into your V2...?
Did you configure your V2 BBx...?

Yes
Yes
Yes in V8

There are screenshots at the start of this post showing all software/firmware numbers. Also some showing the actual error. Odd thing is it all looks like it is communicating??

Do you definitely have the correct PCM selected and not just "flashscan/Autocal only" ? Also are all your selected pids showing as supported?
