I'm using pid E67_AFRATIO_DMA for E67 Camaro ZL1 to show the commanded AFR then to find the AFR error and correct it using CALC_BEN1_E67
But in some new 2013 models it seems there is some thing wrong because the commanded AFR shown as 0.28 ?!! while it should be 14.68

attached a log 16156

Thanks in advance

Try the E38 version of that pid.

What does the pid SAE.LAMBDA report...?

SAE.Lambda works fine. I use that and created a calc pid to show commanded AFR.

b18cls1:

do what DrkPhx said...

use that calculated AFR pid for viewing, and use SAE.LAMBDA for tuning.

You have got to be kidding me! This still hasn't been fixed? I'm having the same issues as the original poster and unfortunately I don't know how to edit or create Calc. pids.

What fuel are you running, and what is the stoich AFR set to in your tune...?

Which wideband are you using...?

( the answers to those questions determine the constants for calculating AFR ).

Hey Joe, your always there for everyone. I tried using Commanded EQ Ratio SAE.Lamda, but to get an output with my BEN from Serial WB (Calc.WO2BEN) I also needed to get GM.eqivratio to come on line but couldn't get rid of the dreaded red X.

I'm using a LM1 Serial WB into my EFI Live Box. I actually tune in EQ Ratio but can go both ways. Yes I view in AFR. Running pump gas. Stoch is set to 14.63

GM.EQIVRATIO is not available on E38/E67, so you have to use SAE.LAMBDA.

So, your BEN would be this: {EXT.WO2LAM1}/{SAE.LAMBDA}

post your calc_pids.txt file (if you want me to add a BEN pid and an AFR viewing pids into it )

also post a log file showing SAE.LAMBDA and your wideband EXT.WO2xxx pids.

I assume your pump gas is E10...?

Yes E10 for pump gas.

I'll have to go make you a quick log file. I wasn't saving anything since I wasn't making any forward progress.

Short log file as requested. I can't thank you enough Joe.

Looks Great! Local test drive appears to be perfect. I'll let you know how the dyno goes tomorrow. We can just start passing this file around to everyone else that needs it.

Thanks again,

Randy

Randy,

Yes, please pass it around to who ever needs it...

but please tell them to use CALC.WO2BEN for tuning, and that CALC.FUEL.AFR is for viewing/info only.

The tune went very well on the dyno and would not have been possible without your help! The air fuel dialed in perfectly. Thanks again Joe!
