Heres the story, we just got a roller gto and put our own drivetrain in, and the past owner had a drag setup with a th400 (mechanical trans) installed..

I pull the tune out and notice its a manual tune, probally because the non electronic shifting transmission?

How can I swap the tune out where its a automatic calibration.. In the first screen where the vin shows for calibration it says Manual Trans?

Locate a 2004 auto trans GTO file at www.tunefiledepot.com (http://www.tunefiledepot.com) having the same OS id as your file;

and then either/or:
- swap the Transmission and Transmission Diagnostics segments from that file into your file;
- swap all the other segments from your file into that file;

if you can't find a same OS id file, then you have to copy all your non-trans tables over (table-by-table) into that file.

How do I swap transmission tuning and segments? it seems easier than redoing the entire tune the other way

I fixed a typo in my post above.

In the V7 tunetool:
- open your target tune file,
- open as alternate the segment donor tune file,
- do Edit->Copy Entire Segment->Transmission,
- do Edit->Copy Entire Segment->Transmission Diagnostics,
- do Save As of the target file.

You may also have to copy some of the Speedo parameters, for example the 4L60E VSS reluctor is 40x vs the M6 reluctor 17x.
