View Full Version : A0016 Pulling 1.5* - 2.0* more than Commanded.

I believe I zero'd and disabled every table that would pull timing. Kind of stuck on this one. I am going on its in the COS because my base motor timing is consistent. A search revealed nothing on this. I can just account for the added retard when tuning or maybe someone knows something on this or can shed some light.

Thanks in advance.

I'm looking thru your tune/log and I see 11° to 13° commanded...

but spark tables have 28° for those conditions, and I don't see yet what is causing the big difference in timing...

Base timing is 28*, through COS5, I'm pulling 12 which should net me 16*. either I'm missing something or the COS5 doesnt want to listen. LOL

Hmmm, I missed something, I'm having a  day, I'll go back and look at your tune again.

You ever figure the issue out?

You ever figure the issue out?

No, no one ever could identify the issue.

I was ready for a little more capability and installed the Holley Dominator.

What did you do about gauges?

I've already accepted ditching HPT, but between EFILive and a new nitrous controller, the Dominator starts to look attractive short of the big problem of keeping factory gauges intact (for those of us that drive on the street alot).

Just easier to throw in some aftermarket gauges. The holley can setup to log any speed, thermister or transducer. You could probably run 98 sensors in ect, tach, oil, gen, fuel. But I wanted to log every gauge I had in the car. Wasn't hard at all.
