Can anyone explain what the TTVA and governor pressure does? Before I play with them I want a better understanding. I've scoured google and can't find a good explanation. Thank you

Gov Press and TTVA are opposing forces on the shift valves. Once gov press overcomes TTVA then a shift happens...

So do you adjust them both up at the same time or just one?

Depends on your valvebody and what your trying to accomplish.

Ats towing valve body. I want to get rid of shuttle shifting, and I want firmer shifts.

Shift firmness is controlled solely by the VB. Can't adjust it directly.

For shuttle shift, try adding 5% TTVA.

Great, what does it do if I bump up governor pressures?

By adding ttva to existing gov press, it'll delay your shifts. If you add gov press while adding ttva you may not accomplish anything useful.

Okay, this makes sense. Thank you!

Best bet is to build a csp-5 tune and have each tune with a different ttva setting so you can test 4-different ones instead of flashing in 4-different files.

Csp makes testing theories or ideas MUCH nicer.

Okay, I'll do that right now.

I see it top out at 45*...the ramp rate looked normal.

Was I supposed to see anything irregular?

My ttva position actual is inop. Commanded works fine but actual is at zero.
