hello all this is my first post on this form. names Alex iv been learking on hear for about 6mounths trying to learn as much as I can about efi live tuning.
I finally got my v2 flashscan in last night and licenced it with my laptop. but hears the hitch..... I had my truck efi lived tuned by a guy 2 hours away from me 2 years ago roughly 100hp tune, all in all I love the tune but I wanna start doing my own and trying others. my question is do I have to go back to him and get him to flash my stock tune back in before I connect my v2? or can I go and over ride his tune with others iv down loaded? also if I get him to e-mail my stock tune can I get it and just save it?
ive searched and even called a few local guys and cant get a answer. so any help on this would be fantastic.
Thanks
Alex

Basically you can tune over his tune. But the first thing you need to do is read the tune that was made for and save the file on you computer in a safe multiple of places like thumb drives, external hard drives. Hope this helps you out. If you need clean stock tune here's the website that you go to! http://www.tunefiledepot.com

Ya I got a stock tune but he locked the ECM with a custom key so it wount let me do the full flash unless I unlock it...

I thought you could override that with a new tune

Or you could have it unlocked and keep the tune you paid for?
