Using the latest version of 7.5.

16379

basically... RPM is actually climbing...and the rpm in this file gets stuck or goes down....
cant seem to figure out why.

displayes correctly on the Heads up and the dash tach...
I had the guy just put his foot down and give me some rpm at one point...
I can hear the RPM rise...and could tell he hit about 4000 rpm...
one time it seems to show fine on the scanner... had him do it again and it stopped at around 2300 and nose dived to 700 while the engine was still climbing in rpm.

any ideas??

Maybe just re-validate the PID's, I would say RPM is showing something that isn't RPM.

Further Investigation.....

so it appears to be a problem with his little netbook laptop he is using for logging...

I grabbed my laptop...Which is a powerhouse Alienware Pc....
and had zero issues...

upon digging more..
it seems like it logs the data...but is way behind on frames.....and after a certain amount of getting behind...it times out and stops logging..

basically... my laptop is fast enough to keep up... his seems to be falling behind...
not sure what to change in his settings to get it back up to speed.

his little netbook has the little Atom 1.6ghz processor.

I dont know what changed...all we did was update to the newest version because he was getting some odd times when it would tell him error or crash and not show all the PID's ocassionally
we did the most recent v7.5 update....

Have a look at the CPU load when it is logging, if you are at 100% then this may happen.
