So I installed a LQ4 DBW engine in my 86 K10 and had to mod the pedal to fit in the 86 I cut the arm off and welded the 86 pedal on the TPS I started the engine and it wouldn't idle it ran at 3K shut it off hooked up the efi live and saw the the TPS is staying at 20% nothing is holding it up it is going back tot he rest position. is there a way to calibrate it or did it get messed up welding on the arm?

well I had the port on the back on the engine open to hook the brake booster up to. and the throttle reading 20% to start up is normal. I set the laptop on the dash and went out and pushed the throttle blade in and it went down to .2% once i capped the vac port off and started it the throttle would slowly come down to 0%. Funny that with the vaccuum leak the engine would rev up most of the time they barlety run. as soon as I stuck my finger over the hole it idled right down to 300 rpm and then leveled off at 650 or so.
