Flash Scan V1.2 / E38 ECM?

I'm finishing up a conversion using a 2009 Impala 3.5 L and a standalone E38 ECM but cannot establish communication with my V1. The E38 is the only controller on the Bus and I have installed a 120 Ohm terminating resistor across the LAN lines.

Ive been searching all day without once considering that my V1 does not support the Gen IV stuff untill stumbling across a thread on an E67 not communicating with the V1. Does this apply to my E38 as well?

V1 is older technology, and is PWM only ... it won't work with any CAN Bus controller. CAN Bus was phased in around 2005 on select models, and was fully in place by 2008.

Thanks Taz! Now I need to decide if the V1-V2 upgrade will benefit the hobbyist like myself or if I should just have someone else flash this one and only do conversions utilizing Gen 3 controllers in the future. Thanks again!
