What do you mean by "Beta"?

The V8 Scan&Tune software is available for download and has been for some time.

The V8 scantool does not yet have the tuning features (maps/filters).

so i can use the v8 scanner ? mine does not work and i have all of the newest updates , i meant the scanner itself , or maybe im doing something wrong ???

Yes you can... try opening a log file with it... (a BBL log file... I have not tried logging with V8 yet.)
