New V2 Auto detect Key issues

My tuner provided me with an autocal and 3 tunes. I was happy with that for a year or two. I just recently purchased a V2. When I go to auto detect it does not see my engine controller. I spoke with my tuner and he did NOT lock my tune. How do I access it?

Are you using the latest V8 software release? and are you using BBX or pass-through? The latest release is dated July 7th and can be downloaded from our website here http://www.efilive.com/latest/cat/download-efilive

If you are using V8 BBX features, you will need to program the device first.

With your FlashScan V2 connected, Open V8 Scan and Tune software, then select F5: BBX and setup both the F2 Scan and F3 Tune tabs for your controller.

For F2: Scan, click on the green + button.
Right click over the 'Unknown Controller box" and select the controller from the drop down list and select the Okay button.
If you are logging, at this point you will also want to select what ever Pids you wish to log.

Repeat for F3: Tune to add the controller.

At this point, you can save your modified options text file using the SAVE button at the bottom of the screen, and then PROGRAM these selections into your FlashScan device.
