hey guys I'm new to efi live. I was wondering if I buy a duramax that is already tuned with efi live can it be deleted out? the reason being is because I want somebody petucular to tune it. so can it be done?

Yes you can flash over whatever is in the computers, no issues there.

Depends on whether or not the tuner locked the ECM.

Not always. LB7's locked with a custom key cannot be flashed over with just the V2. If locked with a custom seed key, and the key cannot be obtained, then you need to get another ECM, OR call Guy at SOCAL DIESEL to have the chip wiped by him at his shop.

Depends on whether or not the tuner locked the ECM.

Okay thanks. Also do you guys know if I would call the shop that did the tuning would they be able to look up their records of the truck by like the vin number?

Probably. Most tuners save the tune files, either by vin or name. Again, it depends on the tuner though.

Fair enough, I forgot about the LB7s. Ive never played with seeds myself.
