Does anyone have an explanation of the Transmission Manual Mode operation? I see the Performance option and the table adjustment that would go along with it. I see the wiring for it and what pins in the ECM to use. Nothing on the operation though.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Transmission Manual Mode"...

the 4L60E/4L80E manual modes limit the range of gears (e.g. Manual 2nd gives only 2nd gear in 4L60E and 1st and 2nd gears in 4L80E)...

i.e. the PCM still shifts automatically within the range of gears in the manual mode selected (4L60E range is 2nd only, 4L80E range is 1st and 2nd).

If you're trying to edit the shift curves for Manual 2nd (for example), the post your tune file; which transmission do you have...?

D0409, shift pattern select, is where the option is. I understand the performance option.

Ok, I'll take a closer look at applications that use D0409.

Cool, thanks!! I have always been lost with that one and never thought about it when I had a rig in my hands to experiment.
