View Full Version : VE Table way off. Too high over 50%+ 4.8 (Picture / tune attached

Hello,

My setup is 4.8 with LS1 Intake and LS6 Cam'
I have a Borg Warner S475 on it as well.
Gt500 Injectors 47lb at 39psi running at 58psi (IFR 6.843750)

I am currently tuning partial throttle, no boost yet and I have found I have removed up to 50% in some areas of the VE table creating giant "sink holes" when compared to unmapped/tuned areas. I am tuning via AutoVE and BEN/PLX

I am using COS5 and the VE table/settings from a 4.8 truck.

I was wondering if I should go back to my original map and reduce it entirely by a % (20% or 30%) then start over so I can start with a closer baseline.

You can see in my VE map where I have already hit.

Hi Bob, your IFR calculation is wrong.

39psi is 2.7bar... not 3bar.

Your IFR should be 7.221414

Oh! I will adjust, I think I originally calculated with a base of 43.5psi.

Thanks.

Any ideas about the VE Table? Surely the IFR discrepancy of 5% won't cause that.

Does your MAF fail immediately on startup?

The codes are there, the adjustments I make in the VE table do reflect on the AFR and the way it drives positively. I was just wondering if there was a way to expedite it by starting my tuning over with the original table just scaled by .80 across the board.

I am also wondering why the table is so far off, granted the setup isn't the same as a bone stock 4.8 truck.

For tuning purposes, I would recommend enabling the MIL so you can see the MAF fail on startup.

You can start tuning with a reduced VE table... you're only going to adjust it down anyway by the looks of the trench your digging into your VE table.
