Hello, I'm coming from a H/C/I procharged LQ4 to a basically stock 5.3L in my 01 GMC Sierra. I still have my LT headers, ORY, and 4" exhaust and the NNBS intake mani with 90mm TB, 4L80E with shift kit and stock converter. Running a COS from the procharged setup. Got a stock tune from a 02 Avalanche with a 5.3 and copied most of the tables that I could. When I start the truck it will go to 2000 rpm and slowly come down. Ill drive the truck one time the AFR will be spot on, drive it later in the day its rich. about 13:1. When I decel the afr will go extreamly lean. 20+:1

just went for a small drive. for some reason there are dips in my timing. Looked at the tune and its smooth. Not sure why it dips. Knock tables are set to stock and Ive seen knock before so Im pretty sure the sensors are working. Ill attach the current tune and the log

Did you correct the MAF and VE tables...?

Running SD currently. The VE is about 95% complete. Going to turn the O2s on when I get home on Tuesday and see how it reacts then I'll start working on the MAF

Log the EST_ pids to see if they show where timing is going.

for Desired airflow. Did a log last week and this is what I ended up with

Do I do the copy with labels, then paste and add to labels?

I'm looking thru your tune...

you might have to do some idle tuning...

also:
- B3616: set to same as 2002 Camaro B3616.
- B3647: too rich for NA in the 95-100 kPa columns.
- A0008: you will need to set for cold running enrichment (hint: see B3605 on non-COS tune).
- B5001: MAF table needs some work (should not be bumpy).

Questions:
- you have manifold-reference FPR...?
- what is rail pressure (with reference hose removed)...?
- is B4001 correct for your injectors...?
- is throttle body different than stock...?

Then try this:
- you have LTFT/CL disabled... try enabling these see how it runs.
- you have MAF disabled... try enabling this see how it runs.

You will have to do this:
- correct VE and MAF tables;
- enable LTFT/CL and MAF;
- perform idle tuning (match desired air);

Additionally (not engine related):
- set D0960,1,2 to 100%.
- set D1007,8,9 to 100%.

I'm still looking thru your files... if you make any changes please update this thread.

Cheers

okay, I changed B3616 to a stock 02 Camaro
changed the B3647
Not sure what to do about A0008, I did notice it was a bit rich when I started it this morning, Coolant was around 38*F
currently tuning without the MAF to get the VE dialed in
FPR is referenced, 58psi
its what I had when I ran the injectors before, they are FAST 65#, you helped me convert the HPT data to use with EFI Live abut 2-3 years ago
Running a NNBS intake manifold with a Ported and polished LS2 90mm TB
I believe I enabled LTFT/CL, did a short log and only saw about 2% only on bank 2
what PID do I need to log for desired air. and how do I apply it to the tables
I copied the maf table from the 02 avalanche file and added 2% to account for the bigger TB and exhaust.
also fixed D0960 and D1007.

Thank for all of your help

...

In the stock tune file, look at B3605, it has ECT on one axis, see how EQR is richer when ECT is cold and gets leaner as ECT warms up... you have to play with A0008 to achieve a similar effect.

Okay. Thanks for the tips. I'll try them out and let you know. It'll be the end of next week before I can mess with it again. Then my father in law is taking it for a 1700 mile trip. Just hopping the air isn't much different than here. I had issues when I moved from Tucson to minot. My dog chewed through my logging cable 100 miles into the trip and ended up getting 12.4 afr and 18* timing at cruise speeds. Be hopefully with the O2s and maf working is should keep it in the right spot.

What about the ltft? I got 1.6% from back 2 but nothing from bank one. Should I log the switchpoints to make sure their switching

I'll take a closer look at your most recent log file...

try this: swap fron NBO2 sensors across banks and see if the LTFT's follow the sensors or stay on the same side.

What would make it default to the storich ratio of 14.68? I'm commanding 15.55 in B3647

Also tried enabling the maf and it went very lean. Around 18-19 afr. I followed the tuning tips about tuning both ve and maf

Well the truck is now in Virginia And I won't see it until next month when I go to visit. I'll do some more logs then.
