I have updated to the latest firmware and software:
Vehicle information:
cal id 12660064
operating system 12663390
engine operation 12659743
engine diagnostics 12660172
vin: 3gtu2vec9eg172624

EFI Live information:
V7.5.7 (build 268)
V8.2.262
boot block 2.07.07
current firmware 2.07.70

Computer information:
Windows 8.1
64 bit os
16 gigs ram

For the life of me I cannot get the software to recognize the engine processor. I will easily find the t43 trans controller when I select auto detect but the engine controller box remains greyed out. I tried to select the processor in 7.5 but I got the error message that the controller read wasn't supported in 7.5 and v8 must be used. Unless I am missing something I don't believe I can manually select a processor in v8 only option is auto select? I have tried alternate keys, additional unlock strategies, stood on my head and also some form of yoga without any success.

I have attached a screen shot for you to see what I am seeing. Please help-j

All development for the last couple of years has added new controller support for read and flash into V8. V7 is only used for editing on those controllers.

In the screen shot posted above, right click on the engine controller icon, you'll get a large drop down list listing all supported controllers, select E92 from that list and you'll be good to go.

Cheers
