Hello Gents ,
Currently have a vehicle which I had tuned previously using COS 04140003 (VZ 5.7) , owner has upgraded 4L60E to a 4L80E, I am aware of segment swaps requiring same base OS prior to switching to COS , but nil matching OS is available (12592433) .

My question is - has anybody successfully carried out segment swap post COS or any other method , Im looking at adding CAX to add Transmission selection as per HPT ...But am still unsure if that work either .

I dont really want to retune using HPT to make this work as EFILive is a much better product ....

Any help would be appreciated .

Cheers
Kyle

Hi Kyle,

Do the transmission segment swap first, before upgrading to the COS.

You may not find a matching OS with a 4L80E segment (mainly because only some trucks got the 4L80E, no cars).

The CAX addition will need a known cax file (i.e. that contains known address(es))... are you saying HPT can change the transmission...?

Can you post a copy of a 12592433 calibration? I have a cax for that parameter and put the hex address for that parameter of your OS in it. I don't have a calibration to check it out on.

Try this one. It has been switched with a cax file. It HAS NOT been proven. Remember that there are a few wires that need to be changed around when switching from a 60 to an 80.
