lb7 bench harness

So I am in the process of making a bench harness for the lb7 Duramax. What should I use to power the harness/ecm? I was thinking a 12v battery with low amperage, but where can I get a battery like that for a reasonable price? Thanks!

You can use the batteries from emergency exit signs or an alarm backup battery. Or if you have a farm supply store a backup battery for an electric fence will work.

Make sure you have a fuse in-line, if something ever went wrong a battery can supply 100's of Amps which would melt stuff!
