using the efi scan tool and commanding the A-D solenoids on and off one cylinder has a noise as if the lifter has an issue with latching and unlatching.
my question is does anybody know which solenoid is for which cylinder ?
wiring diagrams show pin location at the VLOM is A-E
A-cylinder 4
B-cylinder 6
C-cylinder 1
D-cylinder 7
Im unsure if thats how EFILive is using to figure out which one is which.....
using the gm tech 2 it commands them all off or on by funtion and the EFILive scan tool has them individually

Sorry I don't know how GM assign the cylinder number to A-D solenoid.

If you have access to the solenoid wiring, you may be able to probe with a DMM and see which cylinder gets commanded from the V7 scantool.

Locate the wire harness, and if there is a connector, back probe it, otherwise use a piercing probe (and seal the hole immediately afterwards).

I figured it out. A,b,c,d just stands for in which order of the firing order the cylinders are fired in.

a---b---c---d--
a=1
b=7
c=6
d=4
Is this what you found...?
